| Diner history Parkside Diner was established in June 1990 and is located near the shores of Lake Ontario at 4353 Culver Road, SeaBreeze, NY 14622. Sole proprietor Jim Papas opened the 40-seat diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in 1990. The diner’s great food and service quickly caught on and in 1992 Jim brought in his brother and partner Greg Papas. The two brothers began expanding the dining room and kitchen and in 1994 the first addition was completed, increasing the seating capacity up to 70-seats. Four years later in 1998, due to high customer demand, the Papas brothers expanded their dining room again and now comfortably seat up to 110 patrons. Parkside Diner has become the most popular diner in the Town of Irondequoit serving regular patrons sometimes up to three times a day. The hours of operation are 6am daily and closed on Christmas Day. Stop in to eat at the Parkside Diner and see for yourself why it has become Irondequoit’s favorite neighborhood spot. The Papas brothers also own and operate Parkside’s Whispering Pines Miniature Golf, recently renovated in 2012, located right next door. The miniature golf is a seasonal operation and open daily from 10am - 11pm throughout the spring and summer entertaining families and friends from the young to the old. Parkside’s Whispering Pines is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the oldest miniature golf course in the United States having opened in 1930. The course was built from cobblestone taken from the historic Erie Canal while the canal system was being built. The course has a very unique design, which has entertained generations for many years. Stop by for some fun and putt 18 holes while getting a glimpse of history. Our goals at the Parkside are to provide our customers with the best service possible and to serve a hearty satisfying meal. Word of mouth is the best advertising possible and we hope you enjoyed your meal with us and tell all your friends about the Parkside Diner. We thank you for your patronage and hope to serve you again soon. Your Hosts, Jim and Greg Papas |
